Helicopter Instrument

Learn to fly and navigate by reference to only the helicopters instruments in our newly instrument equipped Robinson R-44.

Being able to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC), greatly expands your versatility as a pilot, enhances your flying skills and increases the safety of you and your passengers.

An instrument rating is a requirement for most commercial pilot positions.

FAA minimum requirements

  1. Pass an FAA written examination
  2. Obtain a minimum of 40 hours instrument flight time
  3. Pass an FAA oral and flight test
